1. Open your putty, Fill your EC2 Database Hostname, port, and under “Connection” -> “SSH” -> “auth”, Browse your AWS EC2 key.
2. Under “Connection” -> “SSH” -> “Tunnels”, at Source Port, put your desired local port, for instance, port 3306 (NOTE : If there is MySQL server on your localhost, it is better to choose another port), then click Add.
3. Then back to “Session”, and Save your setting by filling Save Sessions edit box.
4. On Toad for MySQL, click File -> New -> Connection, Choose Connection Type : TCP, Host : 127.0.0.1, User : <Your MySQL User>, Password : <Your MySQL Password>, Port : <Your Tunneling Port>
